Ice fish on the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). Fish for lake trout, walleye, northern pike, and eelpout. Ice fishing on the non-BWCAW side of the lake requires snowmobile or ATV transportation. We DO NOT plow an ice road on the lake. For the ice fishing angler searching for a more rugged, off the beaten path location on Snowbank Lake, trek to the BWCAW side of the lake on foot, skis, or snow shoes to separate yourself from the pack to enjoy even more solitude. Engines and motors are not allowed on the BWCAW side of the lake during the ice season. Ice fishing on the BWCAW side of the lake is truly a day in the wilderness. After a day of ice fishing stay in one of our motel rooms or three-bedroom suites on the shore of Snowbank Lake. Click here for lodging rates.
